Car Magnet Terms & Care Guide

Thank you for choosing a custom car magnet from Print & Sign Solutions! These guidelines explain how to properly use and care for your magnet so it looks great and lasts as long as possible. By purchasing and using your magnet, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, we’re always happy to help at 762-220-1110 or shop@printsignsolutions.com.

How to Apply Your Magnet

1. Prepare the surface
* Make sure your vehicle’s paint, clear coat, and wax are fully cured (paint ~90 days, clear coat ~60 days, wax ~2 days).

* Clean both the car surface and the magnet with mild soap and water. Dry with a soft cloth.

* Apply the magnet at room temperature whenever possible.

2. Choose the right spot
* Only place magnets on smooth, flat, steel surfaces.
* Do not apply to aluminum, wood, fiberglass, plastic, or heavily curved/uneven areas.

3. Attach the magnet
* Lay it flat with no air bubbles or moisture underneath.
* Keep all edges smooth and flush with the car surface.
o To move it, remove completely and reposition—don’t slide it into place.

Not following these steps can cause damage to your magnet, your vehicle’s surface, or cause the magnet to fall off while driving.

Important Warnings

- Do not use magnets that are damaged, bent, bubbled, or wrinkled.
- Always obey speed limits—driving too fast can make magnets loosen.
- Never place magnets on: moulding, decals, pinstripes, lights, reflectors, spoilers, or concave surfaces.
- Do not apply on car roofs, in extreme heat, or in direct sunlight for long periods.
- Never stack one magnet on top of another while on the vehicle.
- Long-term outdoor use may cause uneven fading of paint due to sun exposure.
- Remove magnets before car washes.
- Not suitable for underwater use or on aircraft.
